Who is running MacAddict forums?

I normally hate to complain, but, being a happy subscriber to the magazine for some time now, feel like I do need to express a concern about my recent experience with MacAddict forums section of the web site.
Due to some server misbehavior, I had to re-register, my old profile disappeared, while I was updating it.
My new profile was assign a label "n00b" (None Of Our Business, if I am not mistaken. This is some way to welcome a new member to the MacAddict community). It could've been cute, but it isn't. And I don't think, it was intended to be: from the post of "Scott": "...using tables for layout...is for lame-ass n00bs..."
I have read several more posts in the "Web Design and Development" forum, which, for some reason, was for a couple of days named "George" (the name is back to normal now; but here is how forum moderator "Gipetto" reacted when he was asked about this oddity: "...poop, it blew me away that the name actually got changed. I laughed my ass off...")...
I could, probably, find some more examples of, to put it nicely, unprofessional management practices, but, I think, just going through the topics of the "Web Design and Development" forum (formerly known as "George"), you can get a very clear idea.
That, of course, if I am not missing something, and the forums ARE run by a wild bunch of underage sociopaths, who hacked their way into taking over the web site of the only magazine I read.
That would be funny. I would laugh my ass off.

Things I Do Not Get

Amongst many things, and in no particular order: A Web-standard-compliant box model. Why the default size of the box is determined by it's contents, and why the padding should be added to the overall dimensions. The Internet Explorer's model makes more sense (blasphemy). It does. Another CSS thing which puzzles me: why I can float things right and left, but not to the center? Right and left here are in fact top-right and top-left, but I sooo could use bottom-right and bottom-left positions as well... And why decided that vertical margins should collapse? Not a very important one, but still... really, why?
